Hello, I haven't blogged for sometime, it's a long story......busy with orders, and a cold, the coughing from which caused me to pull a muscle in my back! But I'm on the mend. I'll be supporting a MacMillan coffee morning at The John Fretwell Centre tomorrow, so if you're local please pop down for coffee cake and take a look at some lovely stalls. Then Saturday it's the Southwell Ploughing Match and Show, one of my favourite events. In the coming weeks my new products will be making their way to the website and so too will the Christmas range. Thank you to the customers that have sent me lovely feedback recently, it's made a difficult few weeks better! :)

Teacher Gifts, Father's Day Gifts .......and a Carnival
Is it really Monday already? It's father's day next Sunday and I'll be exhibiting some of my Father's Day gifts at Arnold Carnival this weekend. My hubby will be doing the Great Notts Bike Ride for MacMillan so I hope the weather is good to the both of us.
It's approaching the end of the school year too so Teachers gifts are on the Fabric Bug work table this week.
Heading towards busy weekends with events, starting with Arnold Carnival, a favourite of mine and I'll be alongside Kirsty of Kirsty's Contemporary Cards, so they'll be a few giggles too :)

From Dressing Gowns .........to Horses!
There's been a flurry of new makes at Bug HQ and they're gradually making there way to the website.
One of my favourite items are the new Dressing Gowns for tots. A snuggly fleece dressing gown perfect for night time snuggles and lazy morning. Avialable in sizes from 3 months to 2 years,
For lazy mornings too, what about a bit of pampering for Mum. The new pamper kits make a lovely token gift. Available in two sizes they contain a personalised flannel, and nail kit. The larger kits are roomier enabling you to add more treats. These are not just for Mums either, they're a great gift for Teachers, or for Spa trips.
Personalised soft toys are always popular too, and Horses with a personalised bandana have been a popular addition to the range.
There are more new ranges coming to the website soon too so please keep checking and subscribe for the updates to receive the emails.

I'm pleased to announce that you can now purchase The Fabric Bug products at Abbeyhead Crafts in Sutton In Ashfield. It is a delightful little gift shop in the market place (formerly Molly Moo's). It stocks other personalised handmade gifts as well as a variety of unusual gifts for every occasion. Michelle and Sally are a wonderful team and as well as stocking our products are happy to take orders for personalised products that can be collected from the shop. I can personally recommend their other wares too!! smile emoticon Please stop by if you are in the area and support a lovely local business.

Busy Spring Bee!
The week has already been busy and it's only Monday! I have some exciting news to share later in the week regarding a new outlet where you can purchase Fabric Bug products.
The themed fleece blankets are now available to buy online. The flannels still prove to be the most popular product and the photo's and colour options have now been updated on the website.
There is a new Tractor themed bunting board, and more fabrics will be added to that range shortly.
I'm looking forward to getting up to date so that I can get some new lines into production too, so please follow my blog and facebook to see more.
I will also be gearing up to Portland College in May, and Arnold Carnival in June, other events are being booked too so check my 'Events' tab on the website to see where the Fabric Bug is next!

New Year and a chance to catch up following my busiest Christmas season ever! Behind the scenes I'm catching up on the admin, and preparing lists, lists and more lists. I have new fabrics that I'm keen to use and lots of idea's for new products. Customers seem to have had a few new arrivals this year too, as the baby gifts seem to be popular at the moment, especially the snuggle blankets and sleepsuits.
The Events calendar is building too, starting with a new local event at the Black Bull on Saturday 7th February, followed by a few pamper evenings so take a look at the events tab and come and see me if you are able,

It's November, which means I'm very busy at Bug HQ! Had a sneaky day off last week to visit the Christmas Hobby & Craft Exhibition at the NEC but other than that I've been very busy with orders and preparations for November events.
Last week I attended a lovely Pamper Evening for the Friends of Trowel School, received a lovely welcome and the ladies transformed the village hall with fairy lights. On Friday I attended another Pamper evening in aid of the Charity Fairplay, again a friendly group of people with some lovely stalls.....making it an expensive evening!
This week I'm at a Christmas Fair put on by a local Care Home and then the weekend sees me at another local event, at the Hostess. Sunday I'm at Bawtry, a beautiful market town the event has an emphasis on handmade and has a really diverse range of stalls.
The most popular products this week have been the Christmas Sacks and Bunting Boards and closely followed by the Stockings.

A rare weekend off from events but I am attending a Ladies Charity evening in Derby Friday night at the Derby County Cricket in aid of the Laura Centre. So if you are local to Derby then please come along and support it.

This weekend has been a making weekend with the New Reindeer in Personalised Bag occupying most of it! The week ahead is busy with a visit to a Mansfield Baptist Church Toddler Group on Tuesday, this is where my children went when they were small and I'm always receive such a warm welcome. The coming weekend sees two more new events too. I'll also be trying to finish the Christmas range......oh and get the new backpacks live on the website. There might be a sneaky peak of those on Facebook in the next few days.

McMillan, Tractors, Traffic and more!
What a week! Several days spent this week attending McMillan coffee mornings, thank you to the wonderful hosts, I'm pleased to say that lots of coffee and cake consumed but lots of money raised too so the cake was justified!
It was Southwell Plough Match this Saturday too, thank you to all those who patiently queued for up to 4 hours to get in! I gather that the organisers were limited by the local councils to one entrance which caused a problem or two. This resulted in a very quiet morning and very busy afternoon! Met some lovely customers and had a great time with the fellow stall holders.
This week is 'Catch up' week with a stack of orders and a deadline of this weekend to launch the Christmas range.........eeekk!

What will the week ahead bring? Well for me lots of tea & cake!! September sees the McMillan Coffee Morning campaign and The Fabric Bug, and me personally are delighted to be supporting more than one! It's not just because of the cake that I'm delighted either! I don't think I know anyone that hasn't been affected by cancer, my family included. The McMillan coffee mornings are a great way of supporting McMillan nurses but there are also a great opportunity to catch up with friends.
I'll be at Kingsway Hall in Forest Town this Saturday, along with several other crafters. Mon - Thurs, I've been invited in to someone's home, donating a proportion of any profits to McMillan and then on Friday I'm at the John Fretwell Centre at Mansfield Woodhouse for my final slice!
A very busy week ! If you are local the please pop along to any of the events I'm at, or if you know someone hosting a coffee morning then please support them in their fundraising efforts. J x

Somehow we have arrived in September, the children are back at school, autumn is just around the corner and that can only mean one thing.............Christmas is approaching!
Preparations have to begin early in the Fabric Bug but I am running a little behind!
In the Bug Room this week there has been an explosion of bunnies, the Bunny in Personalised Bag is definitely the most popular make at the moment. But watch out because a new bunny is appearing soon.
Also this week I'll be making stock for the forthcoming events, Knitting Dolly hobby kits to start and hopefully later in the week finalising the 2013 Christmas range!
This coming weekend The Fabric Bug will be at two events, Saturday at a McMillan fundraiser in Forest Town, a really friendly event with various 'makers' selling and helping raise funds for McMillan, plenty of tea and cake too! Sunday is a new event and outdoor........pink gazebo at the ready!
